OFF-TRACK: A Behind the Scenes Look at Prostitution

OFF-TRACK is now available:

or YouTube

This video seeks to inform and raise awareness of prostitution in our local community of Sacramento.  We hope it will inspire others to use non-judgment in providing services to victims of commercial sexual exploitation and to understand some reasons why local women get involved in sex-work, remain trapped, and have a difficult time escaping it.

This project is the result of collaboration between the General Education Honors Program, Community Against Sexual Harm, and Take 1 Productions

Julie Debbs, Program Coordinator of CASH, served as Director of the film.  Janice Davis, owner of Take 1 Productions, produced the final product while Honors Students in Dr. Vanessa Arnaud's course helped with the research and storyline.

This project was made possible with the support from Cal Humanities, an independent non-profit state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.  For more information, visit
